Your privacy is totally non-negotiable. Rad Day is built on trust - we collect only what we need to make the app work, we don't sell your data, and we only use trusted service providers when they help us run Rad Day. That's the deal. That's the whole deal.

Information We Collect

When you use Rad Day, we collect the following types of information to provide and improve the service:

  • Account information you provide when registering, such as your name and email address
  • Daily goals, mood entries, and journal content you create within the app
  • Device information such as device type, operating system, and app version
  • Usage data collected through Google Analytics (see Section 3 for details)

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to operate and improve Rad Day. Specifically:

  • To provide, maintain, and personalize your experience in the app
  • To sync your goals, moods, and journal entries across your devices
  • To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve app performance and features
  • To communicate with you about your account or important updates to the app

We do not use your personal data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond what is described in this policy.

Google Analytics

Rad Day uses Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the app at an aggregate level. This helps us identify which features are working well and where we can improve.

Google Analytics may collect information such as:

  • Pages and screens visited within the app
  • Time spent in the app and session frequency
  • General device and operating system information
  • Approximate geographic region (country or city level)

Google Analytics is the only analytics or tracking service used in Rad Day. No other third-party tracking tools are present.

Cookies & Tracking

Rad Day uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and understand app usage. These technologies help us remember your preferences, analyze trends, and improve app functionality.

We do not use cookies to track you outside of the Rad Day app, nor do we read or collect personal information from other websites or Internet use through cookies.

You can manage your cookie preferences through your device settings. Please note that disabling cookies may affect certain features and functionality of the app.

Limited Service Providers

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Period. Your goals, moods, and journal entries are yours - we have no interest in monetizing them.

We may use trusted service providers to help us operate Rad Day, manage account communications, and send product updates. For those purposes, we may use basic account details such as your name, email address, account status, and subscription status. We do not use your goals, moods, or journal entries for these communications.

Another exception would be if we are legally required to disclose information in response to a valid legal process, such as a court order or government request. In such cases, we will notify you to the extent permitted by law.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest to protect your information from unauthorized access.

While no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data and will notify you promptly in the event of any breach that may affect your information.

Your Rights & Choices

You are in control of your data. At any time, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of any inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Opt out of Google Analytics tracking via your web browser

Children's Privacy

Rad Day is not specifically directed or marketed at children under the age of 13, although it also does not present content that is inappropriate for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last Updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you via the app or email. Your continued use of Rad Day after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

We'll always keep this policy gnarly honest and easy to understand - no legalese walls of text, no bait-and-switch.
